Crock Pot and Recipes

Isn’t it nice when you’re cooking food for your friends and family?  This just means that you enjoy serving them with these little things.  Also, cooking is a process that enables a person to share a part of him with others.  It may not be deep for others but the mere fact that you’re putting your heart and time in making dishes for them is something.  Not everyone is given the chance to do this because they are too busy with their careers and other important stuff.

There’s no better way of sharing these little moments than by camping.  For those who are planning to cook food for their peers and relatives at camp, there are some great crock pot recipes that you can try cooking.  Lisa Paterson and her husband Neil have been able to create original recipes using the said pot from scratch.  They too have tasted their concoctions and have shared it with others.  The recipes that they have come up with are suitable for parents who are always on the go and almost have no time to cook home made food.  The recipes are not hard to cook so neophytes can achieve almost the same taste as long as they follow the directions closely.

There are a lot of recipes to choose from because the Paterson’s have tons of original recipes made.  They have been able to make food that can be served as appetizers, entrees, soups and even desserts.  Cooking one recipe per day will be great especially if you want that variety in each meal you are to partake.  It is also nice to have company around to help you cooking your chosen recipe.  In this way, you will be able to get the hang of cooking.

Since you’re going camping, make sure that the meat or the ingredients you will be using shall be cooked as soon as possible.  You don’t want to wait for it to be almost rotten before you do something about it.  Also, make sure that the ingredients are fresh so that you’ll be able to taste its flavor better.  In addition, try to look around your camp for some herbs that you can use too to make that meal truly a camping recipe original.  With this, crock pot chicken recipes are highly recommended.  Using an ordinary chicken but adding something exotic will definitely have a new flavor to it.

Experimentation in cooking is the key to have that original recipe.  Though there may be times that you can reinvent existing recipes to give it a new flare.  There’s nothing wrong with it since you’re just modifying the ingredients and the taste of the recipe.  Sometimes, you’ll not be able to get the taste that you want instantly so patience is also needed here.  You need to get the temperature and measure of the ingredients precisely.  Too much or too little of something may alter the taste drastically.

One recipe though that you may want to try is the apricot ginger crock pot chicken which is another original recipe of Lisa Paterson.  She’s not called “The Crock Cook” for nothing you know.  With that determination to soothe their stomach cravings, she tries to incorporate exotic ingredients with those ordinary ingredients to come up with a recipe that’s truly amazing.  This will be a perfect meal for the campers.  They need that extra flare and flavor during their stay in the outdoors.
